Utility Rates
As the only provider of electric, water, sewer, trash, and natural gas, we take pride in offering our customers reliable service. We are dedicated to serving the needs of our customers and are here 24 hours a day in case of emergency. If there is ever a problem with one of your services, our employees are always available to quickly resolve the issue. Below is a chart of our utility services and the charges for those services.
We offer payment plans for customers who have lived at their location for 12 consecutive months. We also offer a direct debit option. For more information, contact the City Office.

WATER
The following rate schedule is hereby established for the sale of water to users of the City of Paris and charged to customers:

SEWER
The minimum charge per month shall be $21.53. In addition, each contributor shall pay a user charge for operation and maintenance including replacement of $5.38 per 1,000 gallons of water.
ELECTRICITY
The following rate schedule is hereby established for the sale of electricity to users of the City of Paris and shall be charged to consumers:

Power Rate*
*-Any customer who uses 10,000 kwh or exceeds 50 kw demand usage each month for a period of nine (9) months in a calendar year or more shall be put on the Power Rate schedule.

In additional to the above compensation, the City of Paris, Missouri shall collect a Purchased Power Adjustment on the sale of each KWH to each customer in each rate classification. For each .01 cent increase or decrease or major fraction thereof, in the City’s monthly purchased power cost of 0.0505 cents per KWH in the first three (3) of four (4) months preceding the billing period, there shall be correspondingly added to or subtracted from each customer’s bill, an amount equal to 0.01 cents per KWH times the total KWH billed to the customers, on all of the above rates.

NATURAL GAS
Natural Gas pricing fluctuates from month to month. Please contact the City office for current pricing.
Computation for the sale of natural gas shall be by the following formula and sold by the one hundred (100) cubic feet:
Meter accessibility charge: $10.00
Cost per 100 cubic feet: WC + O&M / 10

O&M = Operation and maintenance cost (repair and maintenance of lines)= $2.75
